Got a notice from your water provider?

That letter has a deadline. We make it a non-event.

If your city sent a backflow test reminder or an overdue notice, your annual certification is due. Here's what we take off your plate:

  • We identify which assemblies you have and what each one needs.
  • We test on calibrated, TCEQ-approved gauges — fast and on schedule.
  • We submit the certified report to your city and email your copy.
  • If something fails, we tell you why and retest after the fix.

Why the deadline matters

Backflow assemblies sit between the public water supply and whatever's on your property. When one fails, contaminated water can siphon back into clean drinking-water lines — which is exactly why the state requires a yearly test.

Miss it and you risk fines or shutoffNon-compliance can mean penalties or water service termination.

An annual test is the cheap, easy way to stay clear of all of it.

What we test

Every backflow assembly, tested and certified

From a single lawn-irrigation preventer to a building full of commercial assemblies, we test it, document it, and file the report — all on TCEQ-approved equipment.

Domestic Testing

We test residential & commercial water lines in homes, apartments, small businesses, & low-hazard facilities. DC, DCDA & double check valves for everyday use.

Fireline Testing

We test fireline backflow valves in apartments, strip malls, warehouses, condos, & high-hazard commercial buildings. RP, RPZ, RPP & RPPD assemblies protect critical water supplies.

Irrigation Testing

We test irrigation & sprinkler systems on residential properties, farms, commercial landscapes, & sports facilities. PVB & SVB assemblies for outdoor water use.

How it works

Compliant in three steps —
we handle the paperwork

1

Call or request a test

Tell us your address and what you've got. Most homes have one assembly; we'll confirm the rest. Next-day is standard, same-day is often available.

2

We test on-site

Our TCEQ-licensed tester arrives with calibrated gauges and runs the full test — usually 20–30 minutes per assembly, with minimal disruption.

3

We file your report

We submit the original certified report to your city or water provider and email you a copy for your records. You're compliant for another year.

Backflow testing FAQ

What is backflow testing and why do I need it?

Backflow testing checks that the assembly protecting the public water supply on your property is still stopping contaminated water from flowing backward into the clean drinking-water lines. Texas (TCEQ) requires these assemblies to be tested when installed and at least once a year so cross-connections can't put your water — or your neighbors' — at risk.

How often is backflow testing required in Texas?

At least once a year. Under TCEQ rules, a backflow prevention assembly must be tested on installation and then no more than 12 months from its last test date. Most cities send a reminder or overdue notice when yours is due.

Who needs a backflow preventer tested?

Any property with a cross-connection to the public water supply — that includes nearly all irrigation/sprinkler systems, commercial buildings, fire lines, pools, and many multi-family and medical properties. If you have an irrigation system or received a notice from your water provider, you almost certainly need an annual test.

How much does backflow testing cost?

It depends on how many assemblies you have and the type. A single residential irrigation assembly is straightforward; commercial sites with multiple or high-hazard assemblies take longer. Call 469-258-7720 and we'll give you a fast, clear quote before we schedule.

Do you file the test report with my city?

Yes. We submit the certified original report to your city or water purveyor and email you a copy for your records — that's the step that actually keeps you compliant, and we handle it for you.

How long does a backflow test take?

Typically about 20–30 minutes per assembly. Water is briefly shut off at the assembly during the test, so disruption is minimal.

What happens if my backflow assembly fails the test?

We tell you exactly what failed and why, walk you through repair or replacement options, and retest once the work is done so you end up with a passing, filed report.

Can you do same-day or next-day testing?

In most cases we can schedule next-day, and same-day testing is available in many cases — especially helpful if you're up against a deadline on an overdue notice.

What happens if I don't get my backflow tested?

Skipping the annual test puts you out of compliance with TCEQ and your water provider, which can lead to fines, penalties, or even water service termination. An annual test is far cheaper and easier than any of those.

What types of backflow assemblies do you test?

All the common ones: double check assemblies (DC, DCDA), reduced-pressure principle assemblies (RP, RPZ, RPP, RPPD), and pressure vacuum breakers (PVB, SVB). If you're not sure what you have, we'll identify it on-site.
